Tunisia has 15 public holiday dates in 2027, 6 of them on a weekend.

Fixed civil holidays are set by Presidential Decree 2021-223: New Year, Independence Day (20 March), Martyrs’ Day (9 April), Labour Day, Republic Day (25 July), Women’s Day (13 August), Evacuation Day (15 October) and Revolution Day, which moved from 14 January to 17 December in 2021.

Religious holidays: three days for Eid al-Fitr, two for Eid al-Adha, one each for the Islamic New Year and the Mouled. The Mufti of the Republic announces the dates after the moon sighting. There is no rule moving a holiday that falls on a weekend.

Private-sector employees are guaranteed six paid holidays under the Labour Code (20 March, 1 May, 25 July, 17 December and the first day of each Eid); collective agreements usually add the rest.
